Uchechukwu Ogah, the winner of the just concluded All Progressives Congress, APC, governorship primary election in Abia State, Thursday, adopted a former Speaker of the Abia state House of Assembly, Martins Azubuike as his running mate for the upcoming 2019 gubernatorial election in the state.
This was made known after a private meeting with the former Governor of Abia, Orji Uzor Kalu at his Igbere Bende residence.
Ogah, the Chief Executive Officer of the Masters Energy Oil and Gas Limited, had emerged winner of the keenly contested All Progressives Congress, APC, governorship primary election in Abia, beating Hon. Martins Azubuike with 86,875 votes cast.
The former Speaker who hails from Isiala Ngwa north local government area emerged second in the primary election with 10,889 votes.
Meanwhile, the media aide to the former Speaker, Mr. Clinton Ubah in a chat with DAILY POST on Friday morning, confirmed the development.
