Bayelsa 2019: Group shops for Dickson’s successor

A socio-political group in Bayelsa State, Voices Beyond Borderlines (VBB), has said socio-economic activities in the state will continue to improve when a detribalised citizen succeeds the incumbent Governor, Seriake Dickson. A statement by the group’s President, Mr. Atkins Pereowei, in Yenagoa, said the reason was based on the fact that Bayelsa needed the help of both indigenes and non-indigenes to develop its economy to enviable heights.

The statement, which pointed out that the incumbent governor had laid a solid foundation to fast-forward Bayelsa State into the future, added that the state needed a successor with a mindset to accommodate all and sundry to drive the future of the state’s economy.

The group, therefore, called on well-meaning Bayelsans and the PDP to give their support and encourage the founder and its patron, Mr. Keniebi OKoko, to take a shot at the 2019 governorship election in the state.
