Bayelsa DPR Warns Against Adulterated Petroleum Products


DPR, engine oil, fake lubricantDPR, engine oil, fake lubricantThe Department of Petroleum Resources (DPR) in Bayelsa State on Thursday issued a stern warning to all vendors of petroleum products in the State to immediately stop the sales of adulterated petroleum products which is prevalent in Yenagoa.

The State Controller of Operations at DPR, Mrs Ejiro Ofondu while speaking to journalist in Yenagoa advised the public against patronizing unlicensed vendors of petroleum products.

Assuring the citizens that the DPR will visit fuel dispensing station to test their products, she also said that there is no fuel depot in Bayelsa State, hence marketers are have to source for the product from neighboring States.

She promised to ensure compliance in sale with the stipulated price of N145 per litre as fuel is been commonly dispensed at N210 per litre in most petrol stations in Yenagoa.
