The Appeal Court on Friday validated the election of Mr. Godwin Obaseki as the governor of Edo State.
The PDP and its candidate, Ize Iyamu, had challenged Obaseki’s election, alleging manipulation of the governorship election, Punch reports.
NAIJ.com gathered that the election petition tribunal recently upheld the election of Governor Obaseki.
NAIJ.com had on Friday April 14 reported that Godwin Obaseki was declared the winner of the state’s governorship election by an election petitions tribunal sitting in Benin.
The elections tribunal affirmed the victory of Obaseki as the winner of the gubernatorial elections held on September 28, 2016.
