Delta Assembly investigates Asaba International Airport project


The Delta State House of Assembly committee on works has summoned the contractor handling the Asaba International Airport with the view to investigating construction work so far.

In a letter addressed to ULO Consultants Limited, the chairman of the committee, Chief Evance Ivwurie, said members of the committee will also conduct an inspection, assessment and evaluation tour of other projects in the state.

Listed among the projects to be inspected are the Mariam Babangida Way and Sector C of the Asaba-Ughelli road construction.

The House Committee on Works also directed the contractor submit 16 copies of all documents relevant to the three projects under investigation.
