Group flays Abia govt, lawmakers over FG projects

UMUAHIA—THE Buhari South-East Youth Movement, BUSEYM, has accused Abia State Government, Federal and state lawmakers from the state of wrongly claiming credit for projects executed in the state by the Federal Government through its agencies.

According to the group, such projects were built by the Niger Delta Development Commission, NDDC; Ministry of Power, Works and Housing, and the Free School Feeding Programme.

The group frowned at it and called on the people to verify any project claimed to have been done by the state government and the lawmakers to be sure they were actually done or attracted by them.

The group, in a statement by its Director-General, Engr. Nwabueze Onwuneme, warned that it would institute legal action against the government or anybody who “illegally claims to have executed Federal Government projects in the state.”

The group accused Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, and its members of “feeding the populace with false and negative news about President Muhammadu Buhari and the Federal Government then turn around to lay claims to projects executed by the same people.”
