With few hours to the kick off of the last round of the 2019 AFCON qualifying series between Nigeria and Seychelles, hotsportstv.com’s Ufuoma Osusu observed that last-minute efforts are being made to quickly repair a damaged section of the Stephen Keshi Stadium in Asaba.
The stadium electronic scoreboard collapsed last month and damage some parts of the roof and adjoining aluminium barriers in that section of the stadium.
As at last night, during the Super Eagles training, workers assisted by heavy construction tractors and equipment were still trying to fix the damaged area.
Meanwhile, a makeshift small size scoreboard has been quickly installed on the opposite side of the damaged area for the three back to back international games that will take place from Friday to Tuesday at the venue.
It would be recalled that electronic scoreboard collapsed last month, barely six months after its installation due to a rainstorm.
