A 9-year-old girl identified as Mmesoma Ikwuagwu who is from Abia state, has become the winner of the recently concluded Little Miss Nigeria beauty contest. The little girl was crowned at Vantage Point in Ikeja, Lagos state.
The little girl who has been described as prettier than Nicki Minaj, emerged winner after contesting with over 35 girls from other states.
Menankiti Daniella, who represented Anambra state came first runner up and Mnena Ternenge, who represented Benue state came second runner up.
According to one of the judges, Queen Abdulateef Titilope, all the girls who contested in the pageant are very intelligent.
She said: “All the contestants are very intelligent. As one of the judges, judging them was very difficult, but, definitely a winner must emerge in a contest. I plan to work with the Little Miss Nigeria to help promote any pet project she comes up with.”
In a chat with Vanguard, Mmesoma expressed joy for her victory. She also thanked the audience for their participation.
The 9-year-old also noted that she would make an effort to work together with her predecessor to carry out her duties of helping less privileged children.

“I am happy for my victory. I feel glad and very encouraged to do better for the children. I plan to partner NGO’s and government agencies to help the less privileged, to support them. I also plan to support the rescued Dapchi and Chibok girls drive. My predecessor, Queen Esther Lawal is very kind, pretty and she’s very intelligent too. She has been so helpful throughout today, I will like to say to her, you’re a great queen, I hope to be like you and maybe even as great as you.”
Mother of the new Little Miss Nigeria, expressed that her daughter has a special gift from God. She noted that Mmesoma makes a name for herself both in beauty and in academics.
Oladele Nihi, the convener of Little Miss Nigeria project, explained that the project would help the girls to advocate for their fellow mates who are victims of violence.
