Hapoel Be’er Sheva of Israel midfielder, John Ugochukwu Ogu has parried worries over the knock he copped in action for the Super Eagles against Egypt, as he says iot was only cramps, nothing serious.

 

Footballive.ng reports that Ogu had to be replaced towards the end of Tuesday’s international friendly, which Nigeria won 1-0 at Stephen Keshi Stadium, Asaba, but the former Academica de Coimbtra of Portugal tall versatile player says there is nothing to worry about.
Rather than dwell on the knock, Ogu, who provided the killer pass that helped Paul Ebere Onuachu net an early goal that became the second fastest ever in international football, turned focus on the achievement.

He further disclosed in a post on social media that it was a proud day for him that his father got to watch him live at any stadium for the first time in his career, and added delight that it ended with victory for Nigeria.

The towering left-footer, who has also seen action in Slovakia and Spain, concluded with a verdict that it was a great victory for Nigeria against the biggest winning team in Africa Cup of Nations history, and are already set to host this year’s edition of the continental soccer showpiece.

Ogu stated: “Great win against Egypt. Proud moment for me knowing that my father was in the stadium watching me for the first time.
“And to everyone worried about me, Thank y’all, I just had cramp. i will be Good.”
