Ondo state government will commence massive fixing of potholes on major roads in Akure, the state capital to make the road motorable for users.
The state Commissioner for Works and Infrastructure, Taofeek Abdulsalam told reporters in Akure that the state government has zero tolerance for potholes.
The commissioner explained that fixing of the potholes will commence in October after the raining season. He added that the operation would be extended to other communities in the state to ease traffic snarl.
Abdulsalam said the government is determined to open up more rural roads to ensure that farmers are able to move their harvests to the city.
