BENIN – EDO State chairman of the Peoples Democratic Party( PDP), Chief Dan Orbih has accused Godwin Obaseki of ballooning the Edo State debt profile from N4 Billion in 2008 to over N300billion in 2018.
Chief Orbih, while addressing a rally at Oghomere in Etsako Central local government Area of Edo State, however, commended Gov Obaseki for his courage to admit that his government was failing because of the huge debt profile his government inherited.
He decried the State of infrastructural decay in Education as many schools were no longer fit for learning just as he added that hospitals were understaffed and under equipped
He said, “Most worrisome is the State of the corruption ridden storm water project that has claimed many lives.
“The heightened insecurity situation and the looting of the security votes by Governor Obaseki who collects N400million monthly while the police lack operational vehicle and even basic communications equipment.
“I commended the state Commissioner of Police, officers and men of the police force for their dedication and hard work even as they are starved fund”
Chief Orbih also commended Mr Agbaiza and other defectors and congratulated them for their courage and forthrightness as only genuine patriots move from government parties to an opposition party.
In his remark, Mr Phillip Agbaiza said he was dropping the “Smelly broom” for the Umbrella because he was tired of the deceit and lies that characterises the APC government governance template, adding that they make promises they don’t intend to”
Senator Cliff Ordia representing Edo Central senatorial district of Edo state delivered a goodwill message from The Senate President, Dr Bukola Saraki.
Also present was Hon Joe Edionwere, member representing Esan West/Esan Central/Igueben federal constituency.
