The members of The National Youth Service Corps(NYSC), serving in Abia state has cried out over the unpaid allowance by the state government.
The corpers who had just concluded work for the Independent Electoral Commission(INEC), during the weeks-gone elections(presidential and gubernatorial), alleged that they are being owed a sum of #35,000 each.
According to one of the Corper’s who couldn’t reveal his name, the NYSC state coordinator Mrs Francisca Ifon, threatened to cease their certificate if they go ahead to poor out their grievances in a demonstration.
While chatting with one of our editors, he said: “She said we shouldnt protest again, instead of her to tell us the accountant to settle us the money because INEC is not owing anybody again.”
