After a difficult start to his Bayelsa United career last term, Onyedikachi Uchechukwu, is experiencing a turnaround in three matches for the club.
The winger was scouted from national amateur side, Dynamite Force, after scoring a hat-trick against Nigeria National League side, Ranchers Bees, in the 2014 Federation Cup round of 64.
Victory over Ranchers was an upset which earned him a rare opportunity to join the big league.
“I played 10 matches as a substitute after moving to Bayelsa United, while to trying to adapt to the rigours of Premier League football. It was a learning process for me.
“However, it’s a different situation now and the coaches are happy with my development. I want to play more matches and contribute my quota to the success of the club,” he told supersport.com.
Uchechukwu has since played three matches against FC Taraba, Sharks and Gabros International.
In fact, excited Bayelsa United fans applauded his contribution on match day when he was substituted in the match against FC Taraba.
