Yenagoa —The Bayelsa State Government has said it invested N40 billion on infrastructure and other facilities in the education sector.
State Education Commissioner, Markson Fefegha, said the investment in the sector was in line with the vision of the Restoration Government of Governor Seriake Dickson to develop the state’s human capital.
Fefegha, in an interview in Yenagoa, said that the government was faced with the challenges of falling standard of education and infrastructural decay on its assumption of office in 2012.
This, according to him, informed the massive investment in construction of educational facilities and renovation of old structures across the state by government.
